Non-Profit Organizations

Below are images from various non-profit organizations that I have created photographs for. In many cases, the images provided to the organizations are in color for their particular purpose (e.g. print-based and web use) but I prefer the black and white image myself.

Hogar Nuestra Buena Madre, A.C.
Hogar Nuestra Buena Madre (HNBM) is an organization based in Mexico City, Mexico that provides a home for over 40 children of school age. What makes HNBM unusual is that it is not an orphanage nor is it meant to be a permanent replacement for the families the children came from. HNBM provides a stable home-like environment for children throughout the school week providing not only the routine of meals, a clean place to sleep, and the academic support necessary for the children to succeed in school but also a close and intimate connection with the staff who work there as well as the other children themselves. This extended family provides the necessary support necessary to the children so that they can more easily integrate with their own family whether it be their parents, grandparents, or extended relatives. HNBM provides family counseling and support so the children have the best chance of maintaining their relationship to their families regardless of where they live.

Autonomia, Libertad en Moviemiento, A.C.
ALEM is a non-profit organization based in Cuernavaca, Mexico. The mission of ALEM is to influence the social representation of people with a disability and to influence the workplace, creating spaces for comprehensive education. ALEM seeks to create vocational, technical, and informal educational training programs for people with and without a disability. ALEM also works to promote, generate, and articulate comprehensive public policies with respect to the reality in which disabled people live, which are borne from the recognition of their diversity as subjects and actors in their own destiny; which respond to their needs, creating incentives to better their quality of life and civic participation and to foster a culture of diversity, social inclusion and meaningful work.
